Trust Is Another Word for Faith

How do you define faith? For me faith is resting in the Presence of God, even when circumstances are overwhelming. Faith is knowing and trusting that God, the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit is more than I will ever need. And that assurance brings me blessings—for me, it is peace because I know and trust that God loves me!

I can sleep at night. I can smile. I can have a quiet assurance that God loves me and will provide all that I need at the time that I need it.

Oswald Chambers defines faith this way: “Faith is the deliberate confidence in the character of God whose ways you may not understand at the time.” Before we can have deliberate confidence, we need to know the character of God, and for me, the most overwhelming character of my Heavenly Father is love: “See how very much our Father loves us, for he calls us his children, and that is what we are!” (I John 3:1 NLT)

”Then, by constantly using your faith, the life of Christ will be released deep inside you, and the resting place of his love will become the very source and root of your life.”

(Ephesians 3:17 TPT)

Praying for this “resting place of love” to be yours today,

Elaine

I absolutely love that quote. So many times we don’t understand what we are going through at the time but still trust that our loving God has us in His care.
